every summer has a story

One of those hot sunny days coasting by the sea. The smell of fresh air and newly applied sunscreen. Waves hitting the shoreline. Sails on the boat flapping in the wind. Feeling the hot sand underneath your feet as you step into salt water. Vitamin D from the source soaking into your skin. Finding peace in sunshine. This is summer.

Designing summer is designing with style and ease. Sourcing breathable fabrics with interesting textures. Dyed in colors that capture the energy of the season. I leaned into seersucker for that reason. A playful yet practical way to take a known silhouette and elevate it through subtle texture and artwork.

Ideal for those hot summer days, seersucker is one of those feel cool, look cool fabrications. The puckered texture lifts off the skin, creating tiny air pockets that let heat escape and air flow freely. It creates breathable comfort that doesn’t stick or cling to the skin, even in the peak heat.

The red and white stripe is a classic Americana summer nod. Think red white and blue popsicles in 90 degree weather. It instantly evokes a sense of nostalgia. What makes this trunk feel special is the scale. Instead of bold, wide stripes, the pinstripe detail adds refinery. A more tailored, elevated feel that can easily transition from beach to dinner. It’s subtle, clean, and wearable beyond the water. The fine stripe gives the trunk a polished feel, while still holding onto that playful, all-American spirit. It’s a design choice that adds value. Not just in how it looks but in how and where it can be worn.
